Sometimes you may wish to convert a Stockable (stock-controlled) product to a Consumable product (non-stock controlled)
When you do this, you will receive the following warning:
While it is technically true that having stock moves for a Consumable product could be confusing, from a reporting point of view, creating a new duplicate product is also not ideal, so we recommend ignoring the above message and continuing!...
When you then try to save the product, you may see the following message
To resolve this, do the following:
Go to Inventory -> Operations menu -> Transfers, and search for all transfers for the product you are changing
Group the list by Status
Now for any transfers which are "Ready to Process" (or other open states such as "Waiting")
Remove stock line for the product that you are converting to a Consumable
Once you've removed the product move lines for that product from all pending transfers, then you should be able to successfully change the product from Stockable to Consumable
