Enabling Pricelists
If pricelists aren't yet enabled on your system, you can enable pricelists by navigating to 'Settings -> Sales -> Pricelists'
You can either enable 'Mutliple prices per product' which is a simpler way of adding pricelists or enable the 'advanced pricing'
Advanced pricing based on formula allows to set price change rules. Changes can be relative to the product list/catalog price, the product cost price, or to another pricelist. Changes are calculated via discounts or surcharges and can be forced to fit within floor (minimum margin) and ceilings (maximum margins). Prices can be rounded to the nearest cent/dollar or multiple of either (nearest 5 cents, nearest 10 dollars).
Adding and Configuring Pricelists
To add to pricelists, first navigate to 'Sales -> Products -> Pricelists'
From here you are able to create or configure pricelists, you can give the pricelist a name and set some price rules
Configuring Price Rules
When configuring a price rule you're able to choose what to apply the price on whether it's all products or certain products.
To define specific products you can set a rule on a whole product category, individual product or individual product variants.
You are able to add a minimum quantity to the price rule, e.g. 10 which would only apply if 10 or more products were added to a quote or sales order.
A start and end date can be defined to apply the price rule between specific dates
If you have chosen 'Advanced pricing rules' when enabling pricelists, you are able to add price rules of 3 different types:
Fixed Price
This allows you to set fixed prices for the products defined i.e. 9.99
Percentage (discount)
This allows you to set a percentage to take off the normal price off the product i.e. 10%
Formula
This is more advanced and allows you to define a formula based on cost, sales prices or also based on other pricelists
