To create Sage 50 purchase orders directly from your CRM, do the following:

  • In CRM go to Purchase → Orders → Purchase Orders

  • In this view, you can identify all the purchase orders that need to be posted to Sage using the Not Posted to Sage 50 filter

  • Open a Purchase Order that needs to be posted to Sage 50.
To post it to Sage 50, press the Post to Sage 50 button

NOTE: If the selected supplier in CRM is not yet linked to Sage, you will receive the following message:

In that case, you’ll need to click through to the Supplier’s Company record, then go to the Sales & Purchase tab and hit the “Link to Sage 50” button to link the supplier record with Sage 50

  • Once a Purchase Order has been posted into Sage 50, the corresponding Sage 50 PO No. will be displayed on the Purchase Order, and in the Purchase Orders List

Locating Purchase Orders in Sage 50

Sage 50 uses a different numbering sequence to CRM for its purchase orders, however CRM’s PO number is saved in Sage 50 and can be used to locate purchase orders posted from Odoo:

You can search by PO number using Sage 50’s “Filter” box

IMPORTANT NOTE: Purchase Orders are not automatically “Posted” in Sage 50, to allow your bookkeeper to review them.
