User Types

Internal User: Internal users have the ability to login to the backend of Odoo and all modules they have access rights to

Portal: Portal users have the ability to login to Odoo and acess the website portal and views on the portal that they have access rights to through the website module.

Public: Public users just have access to login to the website and eCommerce shop


Sales

User Own Documents only: Has access to sales records they have created or records they are a Salesperson on

User All Documents: Has access to all sales records

Administrator: Has access to all sales records + configuration + statistics reports


Inventory

User: Has access to all inventory records

Administrator: Has access to all inventory records + statistics reports + configuration of warehouses, locations etc.. + statistics reports


Purchase

User: Has access to all purchase records

Administrator: Has access to all purchase records + configuration + statistical reports


Accounting

Auditor:

        An auditor has access to view ALL records, they cannot modify, create or delete records.

Billing:

  • Can create and process any records

  • Can create new customers and vendors, access product information, taxes, and fiscal positions.

Billing Own Documents Only:

  • Can create and process any records, only view their own created records or records they are assigned to

  • Can create new customers and vendors, access product information, taxes, and fiscal positions, only view records they created

Accountant:

         Accountant has all the same access rights as the 'Billing' user plus:

  • Has access to the dashboard of accounting

  • Can record payments from customers and vendors.

  • Can generate all the PDF reports

  • Can configure financial reports.

Advisor:

        Advisor level user has more rights than any other users in Odoo accounting.

        Advisor has all the same access rights as an 'Accountant' and also:

  • Can create products and services, they can create journal entries, Manage chart of accounts, manual payments and invoice reconciliation, and advisor can make manual tax adjustment.

  • Can create new journals and new payment terms in Odoo.


Manufacturing

User: Has access to all manufacturing records

Administrator: Has access to all manufacturing records + configuration + statistical reports


Human Resources

Employees

Officer: Has access to view, create, delete, modify all HR records

Administrator: Has same access as Officer and also access to the HR planning wizard and employee resource manager


Administration

Settings: Has the same access as Access Rights + the whole settings area and Odoo configuration menus

Access Rights: Has access to all administration menus + the users menu when clicking into 'Settings' to modify user records and access rights

Selection Lists: Whether the user can edit / add options to user-customisable drop-down lists
